For over 35 years, Positive Images has served as a cornerstone of safety, belonging, and advocacy for LGBTQIA2S+ youth and adults in Sonoma County and beyond. As an LGBTQIA2S+ community center serving community members from Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake, and Mendocino counties, our role is both local and regional.

We are entering a powerful new chapter of expansion, visibility, and long-term sustainability. To support this next era, we are inviting visionary, values-driven leaders to join our Board of Directors. Board service at Positive Images is both an honor and a responsibility. It is an opportunity to shape strategy, steward resources, and help build the conditions for collective liberation across our region.
The Role of the Board
Our Board of Directors provides governance and strategic oversight to ensure the long-term health, integrity, and impact of the organization.
Board members:

Guide strategic direction and organizational growth

Ensure strong financial oversight and sustainability

Support fundraising and community relationship-building

Uphold our mission, values, and accountability to community

Serve as ambassadors for LGBTQIA2S+ equity in Sonoma County

Who We’re Looking For
We seek individuals who:

Bring professional expertise (finance, law, development, HR, marketing, governance, lived experience, etc.)
