Positive Images Policies for Participation

1. Keep It Here - Who we see and what is shared must stay in this space for the safety and privacy of the members.

 

2. Rooted In Support - This is a supportive space; come with positive intent and assume it in others. When appropriate, we practice calling in instead of calling out. Recognize your impact on others and take accountability for your words and actions.

 

3. Commitment To Anti-Racism - We do not tolerate racial or ethnic prejudice.

 

4. Be Present - Please come to the center not under the influence of substances that will disconnect you from others. Do not use substances or have them visible in the PI Community Center.

 

5. Building Connections - Let’s make this a welcoming space that is easy to be new in!

 

6. Embrace All Bodies - We are a body-positive, fat-positive, food-positive, and sex-positive space.

 

7. Respect Boundaries - Be aware of personal space, consent, and the comfort level of others. Always get consent before touching.

 

8. Speak With Empathy - Please respect yourself, others, and the community space.  Don’t make assumptions - be mindful of the lived experiences and identities of those around you.

 

9. Embrace Diverse Abilities - Not all ability needs are apparent; please respect that people will set their own boundaries, and respect them as they are set. We are a scent-free space - please avoid scented products when at PI.

 

10. Take Space And Make Space - We intend for this to be a reciprocal space, where we both give and receive support.
