Nuestro Centro Comunitario

1000 Apollo Way STE 110 Santa Rosa, CA 95407

Positive Images Gender-Affirming
Care Program

Positive Images' gender-affirming care program is intended to help trans, nonbinary, gender nonconforming, and questioning people find gender euphoria with the help of gender-affirming aids like tucking underwear, chest binders, and even TransTape! Sign up using the form below to set up a consultation with one of our trained staff.

Orientation to our Community Center

While not required, prospective members who would like a personal introduction and orientation may contact us at info@posimages.org or call 707-568-5830. The orientation typically takes 20 minutes and includes a tour of the center!

Harm Reduction Station

PI’s harm reduction station is a great place to access harm reduction supplies such as masks and covid tests, prophylactic and safe-sex products, menstruation products, and Naloxone and Fentanyl testing strips. All of our products are kept easily accessible so there’s no barrier like judgment in between our community members and these vital supplies. Our station is supplied by Face to Face, and contains information on more harm reduction resources that they provide.

Queer Library

PI’s Queer Library is a welcoming space where community members can explore books and zines that reflect LGBTQIA2S+ experiences and identities. Our collection includes fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, YA, memoirs, queer history, children’s books, self-help, and more! Whether you’re looking for a book that reflects your own experience, hoping to learn more about queer and trans identities, or searching for resources to support a friend or family member, our library is here for you. Check out our online catalog if you’re looking for a specific title, or drop by the center to borrow or browse.

Transformation Station

PI’s Transformation Station is a free closet that allows our community members to explore their style and presentation in a safe place. Our closet is stocked by donations and offers clothing and accessories, as well as toiletries. All clothing is organized by size and type of garment rather than gender, and we encourage folks in our center to try on clothes if they wish to be able to explore their gender expression. We have a separate section for professional clothing, which you can request to see at any time. All clothing is accepted provided that it is clean and undamaged, except for underwear which we request to be new and in its original packaging. For specific questions about what is able to be donated to our closet, please email nico@posimages.org

Food Pantry

PI’s food pantry provides free, accessible food to community members because we believe everyone deserves access to nourishing food. Our pantry is a welcoming, judgment-free resource where community members can access food without stigma. We periodically receive fresh produce through Farm to Pantry, and we always have snacks and hearty soups available to enjoy. Give us a call or stop by the center to find out what’s currently available.

Art Supplies

Come get creative with us! Our center has a variety of art supplies - including markers, pastels, paint, drawing materials, and more - for our community members to use and enjoy. Art can be a great way to express yourself, relax, or have fun. Join us for Chaotic Crafting every Thursday or monthly art nights, where community members can create, experiment, and connect. No artistic experience is needed - just bring your imagination.

LGBTQIA2S+ Mental Health Resources

Are you interested in learning about our peer-to-peer support groups or therapy services? Besides checking out what types of support groups we offer, send us an email and we can get you set up with a network of support or therapy.

Games

Positive Images offers a variety of puzzles, board games, and Wii games for community members to enjoy while hanging out at the center. From classic board games and relaxing puzzles to queer favorites like Gayopoly, there’s something for everyone. Our Fun Games Fridays are a chance to gather, play, and connect with others in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Whether you’re joining us for a Fun Games Friday, a game night, or if you just want to challenge a friend to a quick round, come in and play!

Ancestor's Altar (Ofrenda)

Our ancestor’s altar, or ofrenda, is a space for remembrance, love, and honoring. It celebrates the lives and legacies of queer and trans icons, community members, activists, artists, and others we have lost over the years. The ofrenda invites us to remember those who helped pave the way for queer liberation and celebrate the joy and resilience they brought to our communities. It is a living reminder that our history is rooted in the people who came before us, and that their stories remain an important part of our community today.

Nuestras aspiraciones comunitarias

From Our Community:

Windsor Town Green Selects -07_edited.png

"PI has helped me tremendously. In rural Sonoma County I feel kind of alone and I'm able to communicate with my peers online and come in town into Santa Rosa to events at the center and I feel connected. Other people in the group share common histories and concerns and we were able to relate to one another. It is pretty much the most valuable public resource in Sonoma county to me and a real treasure. Finding it has improved my life greatly."
